Fic In A Box 2026 - WIP
Aug. 17th, 2026 09:13 pmHello and thank you for creating for me!
LIKES
- Hurt /comfort, in any combination of physical and emotional as long as it's intense and touchy. I especially love mental breakdowns, exhaustion due to overwork, battle wounds, hypothermia, drowning, starvation especially for vampires, the comforter making the hurt worse either in the sense of being bad at it emotionally or in the sense of trying to address the situation not really knowing what they're doing medically
- Physical affection, forehead kisses, nose kisses, bathing together, bridal carrying
- Fever, delirium, nightmares, altered states
- Mental illness headcanons, especially in settings where the characters don't have the words to explain what is going on
- Banter, humor, ironic narration, dialogue-heavy fic
- Character studies, relationship studies, introspection, worldbuilding, backstory. I love to see how dynamics work and what people like about each other in relationships
- Kidfic, both in the raising kids sense and in the characters as children sense
- Angst with an happy ending
- Dysfunctional yet loving relationships, especially with ships from which you really don't expect that
- Dysfunctional families and family dynamics in general, exploration of the cycles of abuse
- Cute shenanigans, adventures, mysteries rescue missions
- Characters being overprotective of each other, whether as gen or ship
- Found family, characters recovering from past abuse and bad experiences with each other's help
- Past relationships, exes, background ships, background characters: honestly I just really love to see a nicely fleshed out world if the plot of the fic allows it. For the same reason, I'm perfectly fine seeing more than one requested ship in the same gift, whether they're conflicting or not
- Canon divergences, I'm especially fond of apparent fix-its that end up just fucking things up in a different way
- Revenge stories
- Religious themes, whatever that means to each specific character
- In general feel okay with going as heavy in terms of themes as you wish: abuse, suicide/self harm, death, fairly graphic violence etc.. All that I didn't wish to receive I've DNWed
- For art: symbolism, animals, flowers, bodies of water, costume porn, characters-in-conversation-with-past-versions-of-themselves types of things,
DNWs
- Works consisting mainly in sex scenes. I don't mind a little and it can be as graphic/kinky as you like, it just doesn't really interest me
- Rape/noncon between the requested characters. I'm not sure of the line between dubcon and noncon as I don't go there, but really, I don't need elaborate negotiations or asking permission for a kiss or everyone to be perfectly sober when initiating sex or no power imbalances ever, just no unambiguous assault. Rape as a backstory or trigger for hurt/comfort or a background element/reference is ok and actually beloved
- Omegaverse and MPREG
- Noncanon incest between parents and children or siblings
- For ASOIAF Mad Queen Daenerys storyline, and in general too much show influence
- For IWTV Lestat being a character, or present in the characters' lives in present day - I have no problem with him as a past relationships that has an influence on the present, flashbacks or just the characters involved missing him
- Also for IWTV, I'm kind of in the "season 3 doesn't exist" camp in general, but in particular I really would like two moments to not be taken as canon: Claudia's seance, and Armand torturing Louis in the finale
Interview with the Vampire
Armand/Louis de Point du Lac
Armand/Claudia
Claudia/Daciana
Claudia&Louis du Point du Lac
- Louis joins the coven AU! I’m so charmed by the idea of Louis being harassed into doing theatre, if you want them to do weird gory Shakespeare deconstructions in particular I would be over the moon
- Interpretation of Louis’s choice of taking back Armand after the scene in Magnus’s tower being driven by love/inability to live without him as well as spite
- Philosophical conversations, religious themes, Armand being more-or-less practicing Muslim (potentially not yet in Paris time but rediscovering during their years together)
- Armand teaching Louis various vampire powers and fussing over him being so behind doing to being malnourished af
- Interpretation of Louis’ various food strangenesses and to a lesser extent Armand’s as eating disorder as well as an ethical choice
- Controlling overprotective Armand going full covenmaster on Louis, potentially with a bit of memory manipulation as long as it’s canon compliant (ie. he can’t have been mindiwiping him all the time and removing all conflict since they clearly fight with no problem, but I can definitely buy that San Francisco wasn't the only extreme occasion)
- Relatedly, them playing up the narrative of Armand as the nurturing and gentle lover as opposed to the past threat of Lestat even in ways that don't always correspond with reality
- But also more normal hurt/comfort, fresh after the trial, during Louis's spiraling in the 70s, Louis getting ambushed by rogue vampires after the book release etc
- For Louis and Armand, anything set during their marriage, slice of life, setting up their various businesses and getting involved in art: I’m up for pretty outlandish interpretations of what they were up to during those years too! If you want them to have a phase where they decided to found the first American coven, or adopting orphans etc I would be super interested. In general I do find their different-but-similar relationship with responsibility and experience of “running things” in situations they hated in racist places where nobody respected their authority etc etc very juicy so I’m definitely up for situations where they’re not just in melancholy romantic isolation but have goals which they might butt heads about
- No trial AU (or rescued from the trial AUs!) with ensuing hurt/comfort and tag-team caretaking of whoever came out of it worse, Claudeleine and Loumand as complicated found family. Also fun could be an AU where not everybody dies: Just Louis dies or just Madeleine or just Armand all bring very juicy dynamics to the table . Aus where both Claudia and Madeleine are allowed to join the coven
- Armand having complicated feelings for Claudia that are related not only to Louis but to their relationship as covenmaster/covenmember and mentor/mentee, feeling guilt for her death, feeling unsettled by her trust and enthusiasm in joining the coven, by her preferring his blood over Lestat's etc
- Armand and Claudia organizing a sort of counter-coup against Santiago and leading the coven together
- I wrote Daciana specifically for some MILF joy but I'm in general very interested in Claudia's 2x01 phase of trying to reach out to declining old world vampires and how gentle and supportive she was and all for nothing, I feel very tender about it, would love her ending up in any way in a kind of covenmaster position and wrestling with how much of her terribles influences she wants to keep
- Claudia having new artistic pursuits - doing theatre in some other form or being a writer or anything else! Especially I love her enthusiasm for a vampire artistic scene independent from humanity
- Interpretation of Claudia's kid vampire status as having some advantages - canon stuff like her radical optimism/general refusal to take depressing reality as it is or extra neuroplasticity for language learning, but anything else you can think of too!

Mainly the categories I'm thinking of here is:
- in-universe artwork by the characters (Claudia's plays or creative writing or diary entries, Armand's scriptwriting or painting, Louis's photography etc but you can also have them experiment with something they aren't associated with in canon! Life is long). Also, critical reviews of said artwork!
- Reports on the Talamasca observing their lives
- Legal documents about stuff like Louis and Armand's assets, the theatre's organization etc
- Internal coven documents like a new version of the rules post coup,
- Re: Psychological Evaluation Report, I am very fascinated by the idea of any of these characters attempting therapy and having to editorialize their experiences to make sense to a mortal therapist
A Song of Ice and Fire
Asha Greyjoy & Theon Greyjoy
Asha Greyjoy & Balon Greyjoy
Alannys Harlaw & Asha Greyjoy
Alannys Harlaw & Theon Greyjoy
Balon Greyjoy & Theon Greyjoy
Beth Cassel & Theon Greyjoy
Brienne of Tarth/Sansa Stark
Tyrion Lannister/Sansa Stark
- Canon divergences related to the Greyjoy rebellion and Theon's abduction (AU where he goes elsewhere besides winterfell, where Asha is a hostage also
- Another dream scenario is Theon returning home earlier than canon, because he escapes or is rescued (I read once a fic where Ned died young that threw an offhand mention of Catelyn being worried that the Greyjoys might take advantage of this weakness to try to rescue Theon and the idea continued to live in my head rent free!). This could be a very whumpy scenario physically (the North sounds like a terrible place to have coming of age adventures) and also very difficult emotionally, I love the idea of Theon being unable to feel fully grateful or getting a bit of gifted kid complex if he escapes bc that would be something that would probably get him some praise and allowance for weakness even in such a hypermasculine society but he can't fully appreciate it bc he's so unused to it and also he's aware on some level that comfort shouldn't be earned. I like Asha having mixed feelings about this all bc she's used to being the golden child herself but still trying to give comfort.
- . Otherwise he returns early legally because Balon dies earlier and he's returned as a puppet lord or whatever Ned and Robert were planning (maybe as Asha said she would like Alannys kills him lol). In this case I would be really interested in Theon being given kindness and understanding during his reintegration to the islands instead of constant dismissal, and dealing with his trauma in ways he doesnt quite feel justified bc he wasn't treated badly/it wasn't for a long time but still receiving comfort for it. Or even a situation where the return is as canon but the meeting with Balon goes more positively/Theon is convinced to go see his mother.
- I'm just very interested in the aftermath of the Greyjoy rebellion and the extreme grief and dysfunction that seems to have followed. Asha who was only thirteen years old doesn't talk about it whatsoever and we know of Alannys' progressive breakdown and that Balon "relied on her" a lot and also that tbh he only went slightly less insane from it, so what was that situation like for a child to navigate? I find it really interesting how she has this pov that is so aggressively sunny and upbeat and how she seems to be the one family member everyone likes and is totally aware and exploiting the fact with all her nuncles, it's all so fucked up golden child coded, but exactly because she dwells so little on the negative in her pov there's so little indication of where it comes from. What does comforting anyone even look like in a culture/family dynamic that's so harsh and unsuited to showing weakness? How did she balance being an emotional support to both when, as it seems, her parent's marriage started to fall apart? I'm also interested in how the canon event of Alannys taking her five wards and the situation with Tris Botley fit in all this, and Asha's feelings about Theon/potential survivor's guilt
- Canon divergences where Theon handles things differently in Winterfell! Maybe he takes Bran and Rickon hostage and brings them back to Pyke, or he manages to run away from Ramsay, maybe with little Beth and has to bond with her despite the fear the way Ned did with him…
- Arranged/forced marriage with partners growing to love one another (or trust on another or love someone else!), forced marriage where both parties are children/young teens and basically discover themselves together
- Sansa embracing the South, court life and political intrigue as a messy imperfect place she is however suited for, rather than being punished for her inclination
- Warging, especially for Sansa!
- Religious themes and worldbuilding especially regarding the Seven and the Drowned God

- Anything related to historians in the future of Westeros studying the canon era as their own medieval period
House of the Dragon
Helaena Targaryen/Rhaena Targaryen
Rhaena Targaryen/Nettles
Gwayne Hightower/Rhaena Targaryen
Corwyn Corbray/Rhaena Targaryen
- I just became obsessed with Rhaena's storyline this season, obviously! Super intrigued by her whole inner conflict, her hermit era, the whole existential crisis of a very calm and ladylike little princess finding that part of her soul is shared by a wild dragon and finding herself unable to pull away...
- Also very fascinated by the contrast between the show plotline and how generic and idyllic her descriptions in the books are - love anything to explain the discrepancy (obviously in the book she wasn't doing all that - probably, but she probably had a very Sansa-like journey the complexities of each get papered over by history)
- Just general "leaving politics behind and fucking off in the wilderness vibe" with Helaena
- The "Nettles" pairing is based on a friend's theory formulated during season 2 that Rhaena would attempt to claim Sheepstealer but find Nettles already in the process of accomplishing it and there would be a contentuous relationship, envy etc and I love that!
- I've also heard the theory of Gwayne being the one to marry Rhaena instead of whatever other Hightower guy did in the books and I like it! He means well and I can see them having a very sweet chivalric romance and marriage with huuuuge baggage.
- Re: Corwyn, I like the idea of Rhaena still being courted by Corwyn while in the Vale but while she's in hiding, with him seeking her out in the wilderness, covering for her with lady Arryn etc

Hunger Games
Solo: Any Career Victor (THG - Collins)
Solo: Any Career Tribute (THG - Collins)
WB: Career District Training Systems (Hunger Games - Collins)
WB: Any (Hunger Games Trilogy - Suzanne Collins)
In general I'm super fascinated by Career worldbuilding and by the general interaction between the mundane and the horrifying that is so present in this canon. Is the fact the Career districts are allowed to train something official, funded by the Capitol, or more hush-hush? Is there an academy, a school extracurricular or what? The ones we see are quite sadistic, but is that the common type of kids who end up volunteering or are they outliers and most see it as an awful but ultimately worth the honor and money thing to do, and someone would have to be in the arena anyway so why not someone who can win? How is such a mindset enforced on the kids? Is there a mythology developed around the Hunger Games, or special kids' media that revolves around glory and war? Some of the Victors are probably involved in training the volunteers, but are there any who are against promoting volunteering and do something about it?
Something that also interests me is how it interacts with class divisions. Is volunteering for the games a widespread dream, something that's considered more typical of poor kids who are considered somewhat expendable and don't have many other prospects, or something weird that the elite's kids do? Do they have some sort of equivalent to the tessera system in poorer districts (that perhaps gets abused?) Are most parents happy to have a child volunteer or is it their worst nightmare and a kind of extreme rebellion? Is training somewhat compulsory? Is it free or, again, something you have to pay for or possibly get a scholarship for? How are the volunteers selected (if at all, they might also as well be simply picked randomly at the moment of the reaping). Are 12-15 year olds volunteers a thing? How does it intersect with family planning and the lives of teenagers in general? Is there a lot of teenage pregnancy due to wanting to leave a family line if you plan to volunteer? Is there... literally any mental health help for Victors at all?
I'm interested in any characters, but particularly Cato/Clove, Finnick/Annie with the interpretation of them being at least in some capacity career-aligned during their first games, and Lyme, as well as any OCs

I'm fine with anything that inspires you for the medium types (see the any nominated document tag), and in particular I'm really not fussed with whether the medium is written, typography, writing-and-image combination etc. This said, to be specific my main ideas for this fandom are:
- As someone very familiar with education bureaucracy, any sort of documentation related to whatever training system is in place - orientation flyers, report card, parental consent forms, teacher's notes, textbooks if such a thing exists, go wild!
- In-universe propaganda media
- Drawings/writing/school compositions by children that reflects their indoctrination
- Anything related to historians in the future of Panem studying the canon era
